I went out to do two easy jobs, and neither went right. No biggie, it is part of the fun. First was to replace the nuts holding on the wire cover. I had two nuts that were not the right size. JBugs has knurled nuts in stock. They are pretty nice looking. The old nuts, just were forced on sometime in the past.
The first problem was the studs were mangled. I used a thread repair die to fix it. The studs are M6x1.0.
The new ones went on like butter after that.
Next up was a set of mesh headlight covers.
But I was beat by the packaging, it took me 30 minutes of trying to get the shrink wrap off before I gave up and called JBugs who are sending out a new set. How awesome is that?
