I really think I fixed the vapor lock issue. I went for an after dinner spin. This dude was smiling ear to ear.

On the way home, like 1/4 mile from my street the thing died. It sounded like it was starved for fuel. I checked connection, but I was on the side of 65MPH highway and was sure it was my aux fuel pump project. After I checked all the hoses I had to start walking and call my wife. I towed it home and was totally dejected. It was basically dark by the time I grabbed the tow bar and lights. The roof rack mounted reverse light was great to let everyone know to swerve out of the way.

The next day I pushed it back into the driveway and thought I’d check the fuel in the carb, I disconnected the hose and it was full of fuel. Which surprised the heck out of me. I mean, I assumed what I did with the aux pump broke it.

So then I started looking at the wires… the spade connector on the negative terminal of the coil was only pushed on half way. Well I pushed it on all the way and it started right up. Son of a…

Bonus, I saw this lizard on my bike ride at lunch.
