When upgrading to a Pertronix distributor you are supposed to use only shielded spiral wound wires. A month ago I replaced the coil wire with a MSD coil wire from O’Reilly. I looked everywhere to see if it was spiral wound, no luck at all. A quick call to Pertronix who said to get a Taylor Cable 45429 kit. Having never made a plug wire of my own this video from Holley was really helpful.
