On my continued hunt to fix my hot start issue I think it might come down to a bad distributor. I mean at this point what else have I not replaced? I picked up a Pertronix Ignitor 1 and Flamethrower coil. First I replaced the coil and bracket. The old bracket would not fit the new coil, and this new one is chrome. Chrome is always better, I must have 2 more HP because of the chrome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On to the distributor, I labelled all the old spark plug wires, the astute among you my notice I messed up by labelling the #1 wire twice \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look how nice that new one is, After putting it on and setting the timing it seemed to run better, heck it sounded lots better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While I had my friend over to help, I put in a new Bosch starter. The old one was looking a little worse for wear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far on 4 test rides I have not had a hot start issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It did however uncover that I have cracked manifold seals. So I ordered those up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
