The only relay that exists in my 66 is for the blinkers. I wanted to remove the Arduino I used to fix the indicator<\/a>, use the LED insert<\/a> and also put in a relay for the horn and emergency flashers. I added emergency flashers using the sPod<\/a>, the drawback of that is that every time you start the beetle you have to put the sPod into off road mode for the lights to blink. I don’t want to think about that if I really am in an emergency. I just added a second Novita EP35 LED relay to the party to take care of that. But how can I mount all of that to make it look good? Enter the Bambu Labs A1 printer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used Hella relay sockets and crimps, the crimps needed are \u00a0Hella 701235033, now that being said DO NOT BUY THEM FROM AMAZON! They will ship you one crimp for $20, even though the description says 100. People mentioned that in the comments, but I ignored it, learned a lesson \ud83d\ude42 I got the pack of 100 from Crimp Supply on eBay. The Hella sockets are neat in that they snap together, you can link together as many as you want. I might add two more so I can use a relay on the headlights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think<\/em> I will not use the screw mounts I printed, rather I’ll just print it the same size as the dash speaker. I’ll use the holes to attach the speaker to attach the larger print. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
