I wanted to add gauges for monitoring temperature, oil pressure and a tach to my baja, I didn’t want to screw on one of those cheap under dash panels, or cut up the dash. This panel from Fast Fab replaces your radio panel with a mount for 3 gauges. If you just take a quick look at the pics on Fast Fab’s site it looks like a simple stamped piece of metal, it is anything but. It is machined aluminum with solid mounts that securely lock it in place. Looking stock but giving you access to the gauges you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is made up two pieces, a backing piece you secure the gauges to, then you place the front piece on and secure using hex\/allen bolts. Sandwiching in your gauges and looking like VW made it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t have a friend to help hold it in place during install, a magnet works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It uses common 52mm gauges. I used Smiths gauges because they matched the speedo. I probably could have saved a few bucks by going to VDO gauges. but I liked the way they looked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
