I was looking at why my baja is leaking oil by the full flow oil pump and stumbled on a JBugs listing for sand seals saying that it may be improper crank case venting. Replacing the breather filter is easy and I had a spare filter on hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My breather was a little worse for wear when I got it off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eh, it didn’t really look that dirty, so probably not the cause, but it fell apart during disassembly, so we are fully committed now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new one was not sliding on, so I heated it up with my little heat gun and then put everything back together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last thing worth mentioning it has a 2″ opening, I will order a K&N or UNI one to replace it. this EMPI 8541 was hard to find. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
