Reinstalling The Light Bar on the Baja

Last year I had the local boat shop make me a light bar for front lights. It started to crack so I took it back to get fixed. No shade on the boat shop, they don’t do this normally and they upgraded it for free. They went from 3/16″ plate to 1/4″ plate and added gussets. It is nice to have the whole light gang back together again.

This pic below shows where it was starting to crack.

They made it so much nicer with the bigger plate and gussets.

How did we get here? This time instead of painting it I decided to use bed liner and I think it will resist scratching better.

I did buy longer bolts to attach the beam to the frame, but they are too long. I think the way to go is to buy two nuts to use as a cutting guide and take off 1/8″ of an inch.
