Just a couple of small things this week. First up, I put in a K&N 0280 for my breather filter. Yes, just 2 months ago I replaced the breather filter with an EMPI one, but this popped up on eBay for a steal, I had no choice but to pick it up. This probably adds 100 HP, right?
No one will ever see it. But I’ll know… I’ll know.
Next up, I put silicone battery terminal covers on.
I realize that the problem people have with electrical shorts in beetle’s is from the springs on the bottom of seat cushions. I do not have springs. Better safe than sorry, in case I drop a tool on the battery. I had used this hard plastic one forever, but it did not fit well. These are just cheap Amazon ones, they do the job but are not very thick. I would pay for thicker ones if I could find them.
Now I see a spot I missed with bed liner, another small job to do 🙂
