I have been looking for a way to replace the in dash indicator bulb from an incandescent bulb to an LED for the turn signal, high beams, etc. Over on The Samba someone shared a link to these bulbs that will fit in the original holders. And that would work for most of my needs, with the exception of not touching the alternator light. The alternator light is part of the circuit that switches it into charge mode after starting. I’m not changing that for now.
I wanted to use off the shelf 5MM LEDs, particularly for the turn signal indicator light which I wanted to just switch the positive on eschewing the common positive of the bottom 3 lights in the speedometer. With that I got to printing.
I printed these out of PLA, but I might reprint them in PTEG. The material is non conductive so I cna use them where I want and not worry about polarity. And it was fun to make. The top screws on and holds the LED in place. Most clear LED’s are ~3v, so you can use a resistor to drop the 12V down.

If you want one, I’ll print one and send it to you.
