I sent my beetle up to Verve Vintage Motorworks in Ogden to have some work done, which turned into a lot of work because the things I thought might be wrong, were in fact really, really wrong. I just got a pic of the trans rebuild. It has a pile of new parts including:
- Quaife Diff
- Weddle reverse gear
- Heavy duty aluminum side cover
- Nose cone bushing
- Mainshaft front bearing
- Pinion front bearing
- throw out beairng super clips
- They modfied the Quaife to use a 6 bolt 4.37 ring and pinion
- Replaced 1st and 2nd gear
- Replaced 1/2 & 3/4 sliders
