It rained here in Moab and the temps dipped down to a cool 50°F. I had previously installed these seats, but never wired up the heat. They are super comfortable and look great, but the heat, oh now that is the icing on the cake.

Each seat has two plugs and PRP includes all the wires and a nice back lit switch. I use an sPod so I did not use most of the wire and plugs.

I just powered it with my desktop power supply to make sure I knew what wire was what.

I cut up the wires and removed the switches. Used these heat shrink butt splices for the first time. They seem pretty nice.

All 7 feet of wire down to this.

Two simple plugs and then hooked up to the sPod.

When you first turn them on, they pull about 2.5 amps, but after about 60 seconds, it goes down to 1 amp. I was really concerned with power draw, so I am happy to see how little it is.

And how do they work? They are amazing, like sitting a warm cozy chair by a fire. If your baja is like mine and does have heat anymore, these are the way to go. I’ll talk about how you install the actual seats later.
