Last year I fixed the beetle indicator light in a what could be best be described as rube goldberg manner. It worked, but I wanted to do something better and simplier. I decided to use two Grote Solid State relay modules and a Watson Street Works diode to get it back to normal-ish. Now lets be clear, this still requires the Roadmaster diodes from this post, unless you are not worrying about adding emergency flashers, in that case, you can skip the diodes.

The diodes, which I just assume are off the shelf zener diodes in a nice package at a decent price go in line with the output of the flashers and in the case of the emergency light, on the Grote 44030 it has a wire just for this. I also used a Wolfsburg West plastic bulb holder from later beetles with an LED bulb to avoid the problem of the common positive of the speedometer.

I could have used a Grote 44010 instead of the 44030 for the turn signals, but I thought this problem out wrong. So I just capped a wire I did not need on the turn signals 44030 relay. I printed this relay holder on a Bambu Labs A1.
